The NUS community showed their support for students by participating in Annual Giving 07 with 436 faculty and staff university-wide making gifts to student bursaries and scholarships. Together with 2,830 alumni, students and friends, Annual Giving 07 raised $1,158,502.44.
We hope that more faculty and staff will come forward and participate in Annual Giving 08. Launched on 1 April 2008, we
want you to join us as we work towards helping our students focus on their education without having to worry about how they can meet their financial needs.
Payroll giving is an additional option offered to all staff for their convenience. Make your payroll deduction here.
"These days, tertiary education is more expensive but essential for earnings opportunities. I came from a middle-class family, but got through my undergraduate and graduate studies through loans, scholarships and part-time work. What more for those who come from less well-to-do families? A little aid can go very far to level the playing field."

“It is more blessed to give than to receive. When I was an NUS student, I received scholarships that came from donations. My university education has given me the career and capacity to become a donor.”

“It is a joy to give and you will be happy to know that your gift will help a deserving student to realise his dream of getting a university education.”

“I was simply trying to help the poor, with a hope that those who are truly fond of learning would not be hindered by their financial condition.”
