Connecting With The Alumni
At 15 Prince George’s Park, NUS students are busy chatting on the phone. It is no idle chatter. As Student Development Associates, their mission is to call NUS alumni on the phone and to tell them all about the Annual Giving campaign.
The on-campus call centre, now running from 6pm to 9pm from Tuesdays to Thursdays and from 2pm to 9pm on weekends, is where the University’s Phonathon campaign takes place. It is here that students serve as ambassadors for NUS, helping the University to fund-raise as well as friend-raise. By talking to alumni – perhaps even sharing personal stories – these students help build relationships while increasing awareness among the alumni body of the need to support student financial aid.
